An Artistic Universe
A dramatic soprano with an exceptional repertoire
A graduate of the Geneva and Bern Universities of Music, Céline Steudler has established herself as one of the most versatile Swiss sopranos of her generation. Her powerful and nuanced tone has taken her to the stages of TOBS, the Massy Opera, Besançon, and the Charleroi Opera.
Her repertoire embraces classical opera—from Mozart to Strauss, Puccini to Wagner—as well as contemporary art song, oratorio, and original new works. Winner of the Elvira Lüthi-Wegmann Prize and the only Swiss singer selected for the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo in 2013, she combines academic rigor with a natural stage presence.
Deeply committed to bringing opera beyond its usual circles, she founded the Ars Cantica association and launched OperaShots: lively, accessible, and resolutely human short opera formats.

OperaShots: opera like a ristretto
Born during the pandemic, OperaShots has become one of the most beloved formats in French-speaking Switzerland. Alongside Gabriella Cavasino (soprano) and John Michet (piano), Céline Steudler presents opera in a funny, accessible, and striking way.
The project has already been programmed at the KVO in Neuchâtel, Espace Noir in St-Imier, Théâtre de la Passade, and the Bourdon Festival. The format adapts to any stage—from grand theaters to barns or restaurants.
